In what likely turned out to be an intense bidding war, Hulu has secured the rights to stream all 180 episodes of Seinfeld, the highly successful NBC comedy that spanned nine seasons from July 5, 1989, to May 14, 1998. It's said that Hulu agreed to fork over just shy of $1 million per episode, or around $180 million for the entire series. It was reported last month that several parties were interested in the sitcom's streaming rights, including Amazon and Yahoo. Although it’s as gimmicky as they come, the Jerry’s Place VR project is simply terrific: Seinfeld superfan Greg Miller, who also happens to be learning to develop for the Oculus Rift, decided to virtually recreate Jerry’s iconic apartment from the popular 90s show. “Television is virtual reality in some ways. We make believe that Jerry's place is actually a Manhattan studio and Monks Cafe is just down the street. We suspend the reality that his apartment is just a set in Hollywood, with tons of cameras and lighting dangling overhead,” he wrote. “I thought it... Read more...

This latest ad (finally) directly addresses Apple's "Get a Mac" ads, and features a myriad of Windows... Read more...
Let's be honest: even if you use a PC you have to admit the Apple "Get a Mac" ads are hip, funny, and clever. Despite our PVR, we will stop in the middle of a commercial skip and watch a new "Get a Mac" ad. The latest "Get a Mac" ad, "Off the Air," ratchets up the rhetoric somewhat by saying that "fear of switching is the foundation of customer loyalty for PCs." Microsoft's apparently grown weary of these ads and, according to the Wall Street Journal (paid subscription required), Microsoft is ready to unveil a new ad campaign, with the slogan "Windows, Not Walls" as its tagline, and with Jerry...
