If you've ever made an in-app purchase in Apple's App Store, be on the lookout for an email with instructions on how to request a refund. As part of an earlier settlement agreement, Apple is reaching out to iTunes users to give them a chance to request a refund for any unauthorized purchases "made by a minor." "We've heard from some customers that it was too easy for their kids to make in-app purchases. As a result, we've improved controls for parents so they can better manage their children's purchases, or restrict them entirely. In the growing 7-inch tablet space, Google made its Nexus 7 device more competitive by knocking the 16GB model down to $199, effectively replacing the 8GB model, and introducing a 32GB version for $249. As sincere as Sony can apparently be, the console maker has an issued an apology to gamers worldwide who might be upset at the removal of the "Install Other OS" option from their PlayStation 3.
