It’s no secret that Intel doesn’t exactly have the same batting average in the mobile market as it does on the PC side, but the company is working towards changing that. To that end, the company purchased the satellite navigation chip business unit of ST-Ericsson, according to AllThingsD. Today is outgoing Intel CEO Paul Otellini’s last day at the company, and although he’s left the company better off than when he found it, in an interview with The Atlantic he let slip one regret he had from his tenure--Intel could have made the chips for the iPhone.
