The Grand Theft Auto series is known for encouraging in-game theft and murder, but could extortion also be added to the list of crimes? Many gamers are complaining that the Grand Theft Auto Online’s latest DLC “Import/Export” is just way too expensive. What is the the new DLC? The Import/Export DLC is free and adds new ways for players who have achieved CEO status to spend their well-earned (or well-stolen) money. CEO’s can purchase storage facilities to store stolen cars. The CEO’s must first steal the cars and drive them back to their warehouse with minimal damage to the vehicle. The vehicles... Read more...
Grand Theft Auto might get the lions share of the attention from Rockstar fans, but the developer has released a few other gems over the years as well, including some that sound downright bizarre at first, but turn out to be quite good. Such as Bully, which has just passed its tenth birthday. In Bully, you find yourself in the town of Bullworth playing the role of a high school student. It's an open world game (although limited compared to today's open-world epics) that lets you try to progress up the ranks of the school system, and tackle any and all roadblocks that arise. Rockstar has spruced... Read more...
After publishing two teasers over the weekend that had obvious nods to a sequel in the Red Dead franchise, Rockstar Games today confirmed the development of Red Dead Redemption 2. According to the developer, Red Dead Redemption 2 is on target for a Fall 2017 release, but given its past track record, we should probably tack on at least a few months onto the launch window just to be on the safe side. And if the game’s official announcement isn’t enough for you, you’ll be happy to know that a trailer for the Western-themed game will bow this Thursday, October 20th at 11AM EST. Rockstar describers... Read more...
It’s been six years since Red Dead Redemption first hit store shelves, and gamers have been clamoring for a sequel to the hit shooter ever since. Rockstar Games has kept mostly silent about the next installment in the franchise, which began with Red Dead Revolver’s uneventful release in 2004 — that is until this past weekend. Rockstar first tweeted an image of its logo slathered in red paint: pic.twitter.com/BklXMlZ0UQ — Rockstar Games (@RockstarGames) October 16, 2016 Subtle perhaps, but it was enough to get people talking. To drive the point further, Rockstar followed up a day later with the... Read more...
Rockstar Games is bringing a 10-year-old mobile game to new devices starting with iOS. That game is Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, a title that was originally released to Sony's PSP in 2005 and later ported to the PlayStation 2. The new version brings with it a fresh coat of paint and several enhancements, like real-time lighting and shadows, upgraded textures and art, and greater draw distance. It also boasts performance enhancements for touch-based gaming, cross platform cloud saves via the Rockstar Games Social Club, and support for Apple's pressure sensitive 3D touch functionality,... You may recall that we gave Grand Theft Auto V an Editor's Choice award when we reviewed it for the Xbox 360 nearly a year and a half ago. We've been anxiously waiting for it to arrive on Windows ever since, and were stoked when Rockstar Games said it would release to PC in January 2015. Ah, but it wasn't meant to be, as January turned into March 24, which has now turned into April 14. Yes, GTA V for PC is delayed again, though this time it's by less than a month. Whether it will be worth the long wait remains to be seen, and we're cautiously optimistic it will be, considering the graphical upgrades... Read more...

Ever wondered what would happen if a group of senior citizens sat down for a spell to play Grand Theft Auto V? Wonder know more, because the folks who run the REACT channel on YouTube did exactly that, though instead of throwing their controllers down in disgust over the in-game violence and various illegal activities, they enjoyed themselves. Immensely. Each senior citizen was given 30 minutes of play time in GTA V's open world. They weren't given any information other than basic controls. Other than that, it was up to them to explore the environment and play the game however they wish. Early... Read more...
Well, who didn’t see this one coming? Delays for highly anticipated video games are nothing new, so you shouldn’t be too surprised to hear that Rockstar Games has delayed the release of Grand Theft Auto V for the PC. The game was originally set to debut on January 27, but that date has now been pushed back until March 24. “Our apologies for the slight shift in the date but the game requires a few extra weeks of testing and polish to make it as good as can be,” said Rockstar in a posting on its website earlier this morning. “Moving a release date is never a decision we take lightly and is a choice... Even the miscreants of Los Santos get into the holiday spirit. Well, sort of. We're talking about ugly sweaters that have suddenly become faux fashionable and holiday masks -- ever rob a store looking like a gingerbread man? Now you can, once you install the latest title update for Grand Theft Auto V. Rockstar Games is rolling out the 1.19 update for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and 1.05 update for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The updates are chock... Read more...
There's no such thing as an official Grand Theft Auto game until there's been a bit of controversy leading to its removal from at least one set of store shelves. It's a right of passage for the GTA series, if you will, and GTA V -- an excellent game, we might add -- just earned its place among the franchise's previous titles by ruffling feathers in Australia, leading to its ousting from Target stores. At issue this time around is the "game's depictions of violence against women." Jim Cooper, general manager of corporate affairs for Target, explained to The Guardian that customers have voiced a... Rockstar Games is gearing up to release Grand Theft Auto V to PlayStation 4 and XBox One systems tomorrow (November 18, 2014), both of which will benefit from immediate patches. The size of the Xbox One patch hasn't yet been confirmed, though if you're rocking a PS4 console, be prepared to download a 1.14GB update if you want the best experience. The size of the patch became public knowledge after GTA V was made available to pre-load over the weekend. If you're planning to play the game tomorrow, pre-loading isn't a bad idea, especially if your Internet connection isn't all that fast to begin with.... Read more...
