If you’re a diehard video streamer, Logitech has just announced a much-improved successor to its incredibly popular C920. The C920 webcam has been with us for nearly five years, and it has served with distinction during that time, but the new C922 Pro is here to carry the streaming torch. While it keeps the same form-factor that served the C920 so well, the C922 can capture 1080p video at 30 frames per second and 720p at 60 frames per second (the C920 was limited to 30 frames per second at 720p). The performance upgrade will definitely be welcome to Twitch and YouTube streamers as well as vloggers... Read more...
Why wield multiple keyboards for different devices when you can have one that works with them all? That's the idea behind Logitech's K780 Multi-Device Wireless Keyboard (just K780 from here on out), a fully-equipped PC plank with a 10-key pad that also works on mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets, all connected at the same time. Simultaneous connections on a keyboard can be a bit tricky. To prevent what you're typing on your PC from appearing on your iPad and Galaxy S7 handset (or whatever tablet and phone you're rocking), there are three Easy-Switch buttons that let you toggle between... It's still relatively early in the smart home movement that's been making headway into the mainstream market and that means there's a ton of untapped potential for creative and innovative solutions. One of them was just introduced by Logitech—it's the Pop Home Switch, or basically a programmable button that can control multiple smart home devices. You can program up to three different action sequences in each switch, which in turn are initiated by a single press, double press, or a long press. For example, you might program a single press to turn lighting on or off, a double press to lock the doors,... Read more...
What’s better than a single Logitech G810 Orion Spectrum mechanical keyboard? 160 of them of course! And that’s exactly what was on display at PAX East 2016, where Logitech had on a display of G810 keyboards that were connected together to form what was affectionately known as the Great Wall of Logitech G. Production company iam8bit purposefully laser-etched each keyboard’s the keys to allow more light to shine through, thus giving us all a great opportunity to witness this massive 10ft x 15ft 8-bit display (10 rows, 16 columns) which was used to not only showcase images, but also messages to show... Whoever the Einstein was that declared this a "post PC era" needs talk to the gamers and enthusiasts that flocked to Boston Convention And Exhibition Center this weekend for the sold-out PAX East show. And in good ol' Bean Town, the Murphys might dropkick that genius for being overly impaired and "ship him off" promptly. In a record attendance of around 90,000 or so, there was plenty of console gaming going on, as well as mobile gaming on tablets and smartphones, and even board games but nothing compared to the crowds flocking around booths from major PC manufacturers and ecosystem partners like... When it comes to video conferencing, Logitech knows a thing or two about what consumers and businesses want. Logitech is the #1 player in the webcam market and is the #2 player when it comes to conference room video collaboration (VC) systems. We’re certain that Logitech would like to take the #1 position in the VC market as well, and it’s making a run for the top position with its latest offering, the GROUP. The Logitech GROUP was designed to enable HD video conferencing with up to 10 people. However, that number can be expanded to 20 if businesses spring for optional expansion microphones so... On the surface, there's nothing particularly glamorous about a universal remote. It's simply a device that controls multiple electronic gadgets, like your TV and Blu-ray player, so you don't have to keep track of and juggle multiple remotes. No big deal, right? If that's what you think, then you haven't encountered Logitech's Harmony line.Like regular universal remotes, Logitech's Harmony models consolidate your electronic controllers into a single piece of hardware, only they do it in spectacular fashion. They're also far more capable than the no-name models that places like K-Mart peddle in the... Read more...
Logitech just made a splash in the home camera market with the introduction of its Logi Circle, a portable camera that's somewhat similar to Nest's Dropcam. Both cost the same at $200 MSRP, but unlike Dropcam, the Logi Circle is portable and rechargeable, allowing you to take it from room to room for up to three hours of streaming. It also lasts up to 12 hours in power save mode. Once it runs out of juice, you can place the camera on the included magnetic charging ring. This is a pretty big advantage over Dropcam, which needs to be plugged into a power source, though it lacks the integration with... Read more...
Do you feel like your keyboard isn’t gamer-friendly? Logitech just released the G410 Atlas Spectrum, a keyboard designed so entirely for gamers that it probably won’t appeal to anyone (including gamers) for typical use. The keyboard lacks a number pad and has an unusually-shaped, gamer-centric wrist wrest that might make long typing sessions difficult. But when it comes to gaming, the keyboard looks well-equipped. Keyboard keys have received a ton of attention in recent years as gamers have begun favoring mechanical keys for the better keystrokes. There are multiple types of mechanical keys and... Read more...
Logitech's Performance MX Mouse series has long since been a favorite with enthusiasts and workstation professionals alike. Introduced to the market several years ago, it was high time Logitech revisited and refreshed their flagship general purpose mouse with the latest technologies and creature comforts. And boy what revamp this is. Not all computer mice take aim at hardcore gamers. Case in point is Logitech's new MX Anywhere 2, a wireless mobile mouse with a premium aesthetic that would look right at home in a lawyer's office or other professional setting. That's fitting, as it's intended for productivity chores as opposed to fragging your friends or going on virtual quests. In place of a million buttons is a compact design with a rubber surface. It uses what Logitech calls an advanced Darkfield laser sensor that can track on any surface, include glass tables, shiny laminate tops, and other high gloss areas. Digging into the... Read more...
Logitech's no stranger to crafting some of the world's best computer mice, and in particular, its MX series has long been considered to be one of the best (just not for gaming). With its MX Master Wireless Mouse, Logitech continues the series' lineage, and it will take just one quick glance to see that the company is hoping to strike the right chord of those who don't just want a great mouse, but a great looking one, as well. A major goal of the MX Master is comfort, a point that Logitech harps on about numerous times in its press release. It features a "hand-sculpted" design, and is meant to be... Read more...
With smartphones and tablets being so commonplace these days, we're all classified as mobile warriors. However, most of the devices lack mojo in one critical area -- speakers. At best, we hope for serviceable sound from speakers integrated into tablet and smartphone devices, which is why we're starting to see more portable speaker options. Towards that end, Logitech's Ultimate Ears division today announced its UE MEGABOOM, a next-generation portable wireless speaker that's supposed to deliver more power, sound, and bass than previous efforts.Don't fret too much over placement -- the UE MEGABOOM...
