On Monday, the company released a firmware update for mid-2011 MacBook Air models (EFI Firmware Update 2.1), and today it rolled out updates for mid-2011 Mac minis (EFI Firmware Update 1.3) and early-2011 MacBook Pros (EFI Firmware Update 2.2). One of the most anticipated new features coming to Mac OS X Lion is iCloud, the Web-based service that will replace Apple’s MobileMe. The latest update for Lion (10.7.2) is now available as a beta build for developers, and it reportedly introduces iCloud integration (in addition to a few bug fixes). This is a good sign that iCloud will indeed be coming sometime this fall, as Apple’s Web site states, much to the delight of the Mac faithful who have been eagerly waiting for the new cloud service to drop. Popular cloud storage service Dropbox released a stable build (1.1.40) that fixes a problem with Mac OS X Lion integration. The issue, which didn’t seem to make many waves and needed a TUAW post to get wider attention, was that Dropbox wasn’t fully integrating with the OS; additionally, some Macs running OS X weren’t updating Dropbox files automatically. It took but 24 hours for Apple's latest operating system -- Mac OS X Lion -- to claw its way onto over 1 million systems, Apple announced on Thursday.
