Google has been raking in money for years now, but it has also been spending a pretty penny, too. Some of that spending has been on various other companies, useful for bolstering its offerings in a hurry, and potentially in areas that it wouldn't enter itself otherwise. The latest pick up from Google is BufferBox, a Canadian company that could enable Google to rival Amazon's Locker services. Google isn't saying how much money it spent on the company, but in theory, Google will use the buy to offer around 100 kiosks in select Canadian cities to start. If you live in San Francisco and routinely end up in the bus lane, be aware that a new law might foil your time-saving plans:“Not long after hearing about England's newfangled auto-ticketing system comes word that San Franciscans could soon be facing something similar. If signed into law by Governor Schwarzenegger, "forward-facing digital video cameras would be installed on city buses," which would then be used to automatically ticket the owners of vehicles that are caught "blocking buses." Perhaps this is a mixed blessing. If say, Duke Nukem Forever ever comes out, would you really care if Duke is wearing Levis?  If that was the only way the game would ever see the light of day, would people pay that price?  If they do, will the trend go overboard and make us wish for in-game ad-blockers?
