According to Jacqui Cheng at Ars Technica, the number of people playing on console game platforms is increasing rapidly, along with the amount of time spent per gamer. Also, there seems to be a growing increase in the number of console gamers who are driving around the track in Gran Turismo going forty miles an hour with their blinker on.
