When it comes to PVRs, there's hardly a more recognizable name than Hauppauge. The company is back this year with yet another new product, the HD PVR 2 video recorder. In fact, there's two new models -- one is geared toward home media enthusiasts, while the other is designed for advanced gamers. The new model for home media users is called HD PVR 2 model 1512. The Hauppauge HD PVR has a rather large following in the home recording crowd, as it's one of the few devices that allows component recording outside of an official DVR, enabling users to easily transfer content to portable devices for viewing elsewhere.
