While many of us are pretending to be mature, composed, and diffident instead of childishly gleeful about the impending release of Angry Birds Star Wars II on September 19th, there’s even more reason to get excited: Rovio will be releasing the game on consoles, so you can enjoy your Star Wars prequel adventures on the big screen as well as on mobile devices. Optimus Prime and the rest of the Transfomers crew might be the victim of identity theft, in a matter of speaking. Hasbro has filed a lawsuit against Asus alleging the company's Transformer Prime tablet is a clear violation of trademarks related to Hasbro's Transfomers brand, which has been revitalized in recent recent years through several big screen flicks. You know 3D's taking off when something like this happens. Hasbro is a company more commonly seen in the toy lanes at your local shopping mart, but they're jumping on the 3D bandwagon as well. They've just launched the My3D, a 360-degree handheld viewer for iPhone and iPod touch. It's a lot like those viewers you used to used as a kid, and it provides "3D" to devices without 3D screens. Apple hasn't placed an actual 3D display on their iDevices, but with a little help from the viewer and some specialized content, a 3D effect can still be had. On Tuesday, Facebook users in the U.S. and Canada awoke to horror - the shutdown of the extremely popular Scrabulous game, in the wake of a lawsuit filed by Hasbro, the parent company of the official Scrabble game.
