Here we are, barely 12 weeks out from the initial introduction of the GeForce 8 series, and NVIDIA is ready with yet another new product based on the GPU formerly code named G80. The new GeForce 8800 GTS 320MB we'll be showcasing here today is essentially the same card as the original 8800 GTS, except that the 320MB model simply has half of the amount of frame buffer memory. According to NVIDIA's reference specifications the original 640MB 8800 GTS and the new 320MB model share the same GPU and memory clocks, memory interface, stream processor configuration, PCB, etc. The actual GeForce... Hello Everyone. We've just posted an article where we explore the performance of NVIDIA's GeForce 8800 GTX and GeForce 8800 GTS cards running in dual-card SLI configurations. Here's a snip from the piece... "NVIDIA has released a couple of fresh sets of Forceware drivers for the GeForce 8800 series, so we thought it was a good time to revisit the GTX and GTS to see how a pair of each type of card performed in a dual-GPU SLI configuration. So, armed with dual GeForce 8800 GTX and GeForce 8800 GTS cards, and a top-of-the-line testbed, we set out to do just that." Read The Rest Right Here!... Read more...
A few short weeks ago, NVIDIA unveiled the GeForce 8800 series of graphics cards and the nForce 600 family of core logic chipsets on the very same day. The flagship parts in each of these product categories, the GeForce 8800 GTX and the nForce 680i SLI, made the basis of what NVIDIA has dubbed their "Ultimate Gaming Platform". The feature set and initial testing of the GeForce 8800 series of cards and the nForce 680i SLI chipset definitely gave credence to this title, but at the time of the launch NVIDIA hadn't quite worked all of the kinks out of the G80's early drivers. ... The nVIDIA GeForce2 GTS Ultra and Detonator 3 Drivers nVIDIA's Technology War Machine Rolls On By Dave "Davo" Altavilla 8/14/00   You've got to hand it to nVIDIA.  They crank out new technology from a hardware and software standpoint, at a pace that has the rest of the competitive field cringing.  If nVIDIA was like a weapon, in this War of 3D Graphics, they would be an Abrams Tank with a Gatlin Gun strapped on top, clearing a path of destruction as they relentlessly rolled onward.  Perhaps that is a little over the top but it seems as if there is no end to their... The Elsa Gladiac Based on the NVidia GeForce2 GTS With 32MB DDR SDRAM By Dave "Davo" Altavilla 6/4/00   Graphics Card reviews are probably the most regularly covered material that we produce here at Hot Hardware.  Perhaps that is because there is an almost dizzying array of manufacturers to choose from.  Regardless, Elsa has been known in the market for quite some time as a quality Graphics Card vendor with years of experience (15+ to be specific) in design and manufacturing.  In addition, keeping pace with 3D graphics technology, Elsa releases products with every...
