If you're having trouble using Google Talk, don't waste time messing around with your network and/or router settings. Chances are the problem has nothing to do with you, Joe User, with the culprit being something on Google's end. The sultan of search began investigating "reports of an issue with Google Talk" early this morning, and within 10 minutes, determined that whatever it is that's causing the problem is affecting the majority of Google Talk users. Google recently launched Google Talk with video and voice chat for Android phones. With the service, users will be able to video or voice chat with their friends and family directly from an Android phone. Calls can be placed over 3G, 4G and Wi-Fi connections. According to Google, the new features will first roll out to the Nexus S phones over the next few weeks as part of the Android 2.3.4 over-the-air update. Engineers at Google have published a PDF concerning hard drives and what factors are most likely to cause them to fail. They studied 100,000 hard drives over the course of five years and had some pretty interesting findings. Shimmer me timbers, they're at it again. Most of you should remember the texture shimmering problem with Nvidia's recent 77.77 drivers, which Nvidia claimed to be a bug and quickly fixed the problem.
