When so-called "phablets" first emerged -- those devices that are bigger than your typical smartphone but smaller than a tablet -- there was a question mark surrounding whether or not consumers would snatch these things up. Well, Samsung keeps proving that there's a market for smartphones with ginormous touchscreen displays, further proof of which comes from sales of the company's Galaxy Note 3 device. AT&T dropped us a note today to let us know it's planning to carry Samsung's Galaxy Note 3 phablet and Galaxy Gear smartwatch online and in stores beginning October 4. The Galaxy Note 3 will be available for $299.99 with a two-year service agreement, or $35 per month if you opt for AT&T Next. As for the Galaxy Gear, that will be available for 99 cents less for $299 even with no subsidized option. The Galaxy Gear is Samsung's first wearable smartwatch and is meant to be paired with the Galaxy Note 3. Anticipation is running high for the Galaxy Note III, just as it typically does for pretty much any Samsung device, hence why the company poses such a big threat to Apple in the mobile space.
