Although Intel isn’t quite ready to take the wraps off of its updated Haswell-based processors (codenamed Devil’s Canyon) or its next-gen Broadwell-based processors, the company is at the ready with a brand new chipset that ups the ante in terms of features and overall performance. Intel’s 9-series chipset isn’t quite as extensive as previous families (there are just two options at this time), but the new capabilities it brings to the table will be welcomed by everyone from hardcore overclockers to IT types and business users. We tested a quintet of Z97 based motherboards... Read more...

Gamers who've wanted to build a very high-end PC this past year with NVIDIA graphics cards have had to face a bit of a dilemma: Opt for the high-performing GeForce GTX 780 (or Ti) and risk the chance of 3GB being too restrictive down the road, or splurge hundreds of dollars more in order to negate that possibility with the 6GB TITAN. Note that the original TITAN was not that much faster than a GTX 780, yet it cost nearly as much as two 780s put together. Again, not a great situation to be in as a high-end gamer. Well, leave it to EVGA to come to the rescue - albeit a tad late (TITAN came out... Read more...
It's one thing for a company to say they believe in their product, but it's quite another to prove it. That said, it's obvious EVGA truly believes in its new SuperNOVA G2 power supply line, as evidenced by the generous10-year warranty. In addition to a elongated warranty period, EVGA's newest PSUs also boast 80 Plus Gold certification and high quality construction throughout. The SuperNOVA G2 is available in 750W and 850W models, both of which use Japanese Nippon Chemi-Con solid state capacitors. Should you tear either PSU open -- and we don't recommend you do that, for fear of electrocution and... Read more...

NVIDIA officially took the wraps off of its Tegra Note mobile platform a few weeks back, though rumors had been circulating for months that the company was designing its own tablet. If you’re unfamiliar with the Tegra Note, it’s a 7”, Android-based tablet, powered by NVIDIA’s Tegra 4 SoC. Beyond that, the Tegra Note also marks NVIDIA’s second foray into the consumer electronics market, with an in-house designed product; NVIDIA's SHIELD was the first. With the Tegra Note 7, however, NVIDIA is following a similar model to its graphics card business. NVIDIA designed the... Read more...
