In a rather stark claim, Analog Devices and Creative labs state that Realtek's high definition audio solutions do not render proper EAX and EAX2 effects correctly and in some cases not at all. Since the release of this quarter's financial earnings, there has been some criticism towards Dell for their stinging 51% decline in quarterly profits. On the other hand, Hewlett-Packard posted stronger than expected earnings, raising its earnings per share for the fourth quarter in a row. Apple Computer Inc. expects the average selling price of its iPod digital music players to decline in the current quarter from the prior period, the company's CFO said on Wednesday. "We expect them to be down a little bit in the June quarter," Apple's Chief Financial Officer Peter Oppenheimer said. Intel Declares Regular Cash Dividend SANTA CLARA, Calif., Jan. 19, 2006 – Intel Corporation's board of directors has declared a $0.10 per share quarterly dividend on the company's common stock. The dividend is payable on Mar. 1, 2006 to stockholders of record on Feb. 7, 2006. In November the company announced a 25 percent increase in its quarterly dividend, to $0.10 per share. When we think of TV tuner cards, we typically envision a standard PCI based card designed for PC use.  For laptop users, the options are slim, but they do exist.  USB or FireWire based solutions are available, but this leaves you with cable management issue on your desktop.  The next option is a CardBus type tuner like the Sicuro DEC-900 Cardbus TV Tuner with FM Radio which fits in a standard PCMCIA slot.  ThinkComputers.org has a full write up on this pint sized TV/FM tuner, covering all of the products finer points. Another driver release, another performance review. ATI has recently released their last driver set of the year, Catalyst 5.12. Today, TweakTown benchmarks the new Catalyst driver against last months version, and reports on some interesting results."As we near the end of the year, we see the final official Catalyst release from ATI under the 5 series name.
