Cord-cutting TV viewers have been worrying major providers for years. Now, with HBO committing to the subscription model and Netflix adding 4.9 million subscribers in a single quarter, the pressure is on for major providers to split up their beloved bundles. Soon, Verizon’s FiOS will do just that. Verizon plans to create a small bundles on April 19, according to the Wall Street Journal. The smaller bundle will go for $55 per month and will include ABC, AMC, Food Network, Fox, and other channels. Proving that patience is a virtue, Nintendo today confirmed earlier rumors of a Wii price cut by slashing the price of its flagship console to $150, but it doesn't stop there. Available in either black or white, the lower priced Wii is part of a new bundle that also includes the Mario Kart game and a matching colored Wii Wheel, replacing the previously included Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resorts games. The NBA playoffs are underway, and if you're a basketball fan, there's been plenty to keep you entertained. Last night, for example, the Boston Celtics again edged out the New York Knicks for a 2-0 series lead on their way to an 18th championship (that's right, we just predicted the Celtics will go all the way), the Orlando Magic Magic took revenge on the Atlanta Hawks and tied the series at 1-1, and Dallas took a 2-0 lead over Portland despite Dallas having previously only won two out of the 18 playoff games in which referee Danny Crawford was present.
