If you're running Windows Vista, or thinking about it, then you might know what ReadyBoost is. If you don't, it's essentially a way to cache some of the system page file to a USB drive.  The result is typically better performance on machines with limited memory.  The only problem is that it requires a USB 2.0 port. That means it's external; and therefore subject to being disconnected when whiskers thinks it's a fun toy.  It also makes it one more thing to drag along to a LAN party.   While some might wonder why fate can be so cruel, along comes InnoDisk... A clean, stable supply of power is paramount to a stable system, especially when overclocking, or otherwise tweaking for higher-performance. To that end, a new-name in the enthusiast space has introduced a couple of products designed to filter and smooth the power generated by a system's PSU.  MadShrimps has thoroughly evaluated Clever Power's VGA Booster and CPU Stabilizer, and has their opinion posted right here. Good morning everyone and welcome to your latest installment of hardware news at HH.  There's some pretty impressive hardware on tap this AM.  First we have the Soltek SL-K890Pro-939, followed by an ATI X850XT, which we also reviewed here.  Wrapping things up is an interesting DDR booster from OCZ and a sweet 30" HDTV.  Let's get started, there's a lot to cover. Soltek SL-K890Pro-939 Review @ Ninjalane: "Throughout the review process the general impression of this board has been very favorable. To be honest, after watching the Patriots loose tonight, I'm at a loss for words. I do have to clap for Miami though, since it's amazing they still have that kind of fight left in them with their record. You can't win them all I guess. DFI Lanparty 875-T LGA 775 Motherboard @ hardCOREware "Enter DFI's Lanparty 875-T. It takes the latest CPU socket platform and mates it to the mature 875P chipset. It won't win any Gigabit Ethernet races, but you just wait and see how it performs with the tighter timings of DDR memory, and killer overclocking ability." Danger Den TDX Waterblock Review @... Good morning friends, how was your weekend?  Things in my life have been extremely hectic over the past week or so.  Thankfully, it seems to be falling into place and my day-to-day schedule is reverting to somewhat sane hours.  Nonetheless, there is no better way to start the work week off then sitting down with a piping hot glass of juice...  OCZ DDR Booster Reviewed @ VR-Zone Hardware "The DDR Booster is an incredible device. Even at stock voltage of 2.9V, what I realized was when the DDR Booster was in the slot and running the DDR would overclock 2 FSB more than when... Read more...
