Where there's smoke, there's fire--right? Um, right--at least, we sure hope so! Just a week after we heard some pretty convincing rumors that Apple really was gearing up to give the whole Tablet PC thing a shot, along comes an even more believable report suggesting that a Barron's analyst has not only confirmed that Apple will be producing a tablet, but that he has actually played with it.Now, we'll be the first to admit that this whole thing sounds somewhat fishy. Though speculation of an nVidia acquisition by Intel has been circulating since the AMD ATI merger, such a deal may not provide sufficient financial incentive. No matter how beneficial technically, financial analyst are questioning the rumors from a business sense, and it may be that nVidia will be acquired by other interested parties. After months of delays, analysts are now stating that Microsoft will ship Windows Vista on time. ETA for RTM (release to manufacturing) will be sometime on November with retail release some time in January.  Head on over to Reuters for the details.
