Three of the top wireless carriers in the U.S. are working hard to expand their LTE networks. Verizon Wireless, Sprint, and AT&T recently announced new markets that now have or will soon be getting LTE coverage. Verizon Wireless has added 4G LTE service to parts of Pennsylvania including Adams County, York County, and Lancaster County.  Verizon Wireless is also launching 4G LTE service in Sierra Vista, Douglas, Benson and Nogales, Arizona starting November 15. Samsung has developed a creative solution to consumers’ desire to have a speedier and more convenient way to share photos with its Samsung Galaxy Camera, which is now available from AT&T. The camera runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and has 4G capabilities, and the 4.8-inch HD Super Clear LCd display is quite large. AT&T announced plans to invest $14 billion over the next three years in order to expand and enhance its wireless and wireline broadband networks. The investment plan, called Project Velocity IP (VIP), includes an expansion of AT&T's 4G LTE network, the acquiring of additional spectrum, and the deployment of small cell technology, macro cells and additional distributed antenna systems. By the end of 2014, AT&T plans to expand its 4G LTE network to cover 300 million people. Sprint is racing to catch up to other carriers who already have extensive 4G LTE rollouts. Today, the wireless carrier announced another rollout of its 4G LTE network. Turnabout is fair play, as they say; after suffering a terrible blow in court in its patent war against Apple, Samsung is fighting back. According to a report from the Korea Times, industry sources indicate that Samsung is planning to sue Apple over 4G LTE patents in its upcoming iPhone 5. If you’re surprised that EarthLink is still a thing, you’re not alone, but the ISP is apparently very much alive and kicking. Today, the company announced that it will offer its customers fixed and mobile broadband service via Clearwire’s 4G WiMAX network. The new capabilities will be available starting in early 2013, and will initially be aimed at in-home use with an eye toward expanding into mobile devices and small businesses. Sprint announced some serious expansion plans for its 4G LTE network. In the "coming months," the wireless carrier intends to turn on 4G LTE service in more than 100 additional cities. A full list of the new cities is below; some of the large cities that will be getting the service include Boston, Chicago, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, Miami, Nashville, New Orleans, New York, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C. Today, AT&T announced seven new markets that now have access to the carrier's 4G LTE network. Verizon Wireless and Motorola announced three new DROID RAZR smartphones today. All three of the new phones—the DROID RAZR M, DROID RAZR HD, and DROID RAZR MAXX HD—offer 4G LTE connectivity to Verizon Wireless' network.
