OCZ RevoDrive 350 PCI Express SSD Review

OCZ RevoDrive 350 CrystalDiskMark Performance

CrystalDiskMark is a synthetic benchmark that tests both sequential and random small and large file transfers. It does a nice job of providing a quick look at best- and worst-case scenarios with regard to SSD performance, best case being larger sequential transfers and worst case being small, random access and transfers.

There's quite a spread of performance characteristics seen here with CrystalMark. Intel's SSD 910 claims an overall write advantage over the group, especially at higher queue depths. The OCZ RevoDrive 350 exhibits a good balance of read and write performance, besting the field by a long shot with sequential reads. Even at higher queue depths (multiple simultaneous requests), the RevoDrive 350 claims the second fastest spot among our group of expensive enterprise-class PCIe SSDs and blows past its previous generation counterpart, the RevoDrive 3 X2.
