Win an ASUS Eee Top PC

Do you remember that cool ASUS Eee Top PC we showed you last month? Now, ASUS is giving US and Canada residents a chance to win one of two Eee Top PCs. In order to be eligible for the giveaway, you’ll need to subscribe to ASUS’ YouTube page and be a member of The Official ASUS Eee PC Group on Facebook or ASUS_TEK MySpace.

Here’s how the contest works: When the ASUS Eee Top video posted below hits 50,000 views, the first comment ASUS sees that mentions a highlighted feature from the video will win an ASUS Eee Top. The second Eee Top will be given away in a similar fashion once the video hits 100,000 views. At the time of our posting, the video had around 3,000 views.

As ASUS points out in the video, you can write notes by touching the screen.  The Eee Top is also designed to provide easy touch access to movies, music, and photos. Other features that ASUS mentions in the video are the Eee Top’s six USB ports, camera card slots, 1.3 megapixel webcam with cool Eee cam software, surround audio out, and of course, a touchscreen. The Eee Top also comes with a keyboard and mouse.

This all-in-one desktop PC has a small footprint and can easily be moved from room to room. It has a 15.6-inch touchscreen and is built around Intel's low-power Atom platform. ASUS also incorporated an Easy Mode which provides four finger-accessible tabs: Communication, Fun, Work, and Tools Opera Touch (a touch-friendly web browser). There’s also a virtual keyboard for input.

Even if my comment is "I love and swear by ASUS, but that touchscreen is one overpriced piece of garbage that will never sell to the average household."?

I *want* to like it, I really do... but it doesn't seem to have a killer app... or any app that isn't already solved.

I am to a point that I just seem to hate all touchscreens....tablet PC or otherwise; always too many little dumb bugs and excessive drivers required it seems

It seems like every company these days is using Youtube, Facebook and Myspace. I wonder how fast you'd have to be to win.
