If you were a kid of the 80s and happened to own a video game console, chances are good that it was a Nintendo Entertainment System. While the NES had its share of garbage titles, it also had some timeless classics, such as The Legend of Zelda, Contra, Final Fantasy, Dragon Warrior, Ninja Gaiden - alright, I could go on to list about 100 more.
Despite being an earlier console, the NES had plenty of exotic peripheral hardware - one that even came with the console itself: Zapper. As a kid, this thing was simply awesome. Sure, it was gray and orange, but it was a gun that I could shoot at the screen. I might have cheated at Duck Hunt by pressing the Zapper right against the screen, but it was still a fun peripheral to own - even if its uses were a bit limited.
Well, it seems like I'm not the only one who thinks fondly of the Zapper, as artist Kent Sheely took the time to integrate the plastic weapon into some famous Hollywood movies, such as The Big Lebowski (above) and Reservoir Dogs and The Terminator 2 (below). The result... is just awesome.
Now all we need is for someone to do this with R.O.B.!
