Super Talent Ships UltraDrive MT 2.5" SSD

Super Talent really has been on a roll of late. The company's USB 3.0 flash drives are undercutting just about everyone with regard to price, and today they're introducing a refresh to their Ultra Drive SSD series. The new UltraDrive MT SSD is the drive in question, offering a SATA II interface and the new Barefoot controller (plus Indilinx Martini firmware). It's a 2.5" drive, which means it's made specifically to fit into notebook computers.

It also includes the latest in SSD technology, featuring Garbage Collection, TRIM support, wear leveling and ECC. All of those ought to make the entire drive more reliable over the long haul. It's available in capacities ranging from 60GB to 240GB and with MLC / SLC NAND Flash, with sequential read/write rates of 255MB/sec and 250MB/sec, respectively. Hopefully the prices will be competitive, though.
