DailyTech has once again navigated around NDA's to bring word that they have managed to get their hands on NVIDIA"s upcoming G80 GPU and are sharing some details. Dubbed the Geforce 8800 series, the first two initial flavors will be a GTS and flagship GTX version. Supposedly, these two cards will each have 768MB of GDDR3 memory with the GTX version also having a 384-bit memory interface. In total, the flagship GPU will have 128 unified shaders, have full HDCP support, dual-link DVI, and feature a dual-slot heatsink assembly. Unfortunately, little is known regarding the specific architecture details of the G80 GPU though you can be sure that information is coming shortly as the cards are expected to launch in the second week of November.
