Rumor: AMD To Receive Foreign Investment?
Rumor has it that AMD might receive some sort of financial bailout from the Middle East. At this time there is no word on who is allegedly offering to help out, or what kind of stake in the company they'll be given.
“This move, if and when it happens, will relieve AMD of a pile of debts it owes, and give it the space, time and money to open a new fab in Malta, New York State, because the company have plans to go for that, big time.”

I'm not surprised, they already got around 680 or so million from another investment in a middle eastern company. Forgot which though and a bit lazy to search for the article. But this is what I mean when I stated AMD will never go under, there will always be investments to help them out of their problems. |

Yea..That was what I was mentioning...A company in Abu Dhabi, titled Mubadala Development Compan. They invested 700 million, taking up 9% of amd through stock. |

Just like how the U.S. will never go bankrupt ... always going to be able to find money somewhere! Although they may pretty much owe their butts to the world but they are in business! |
