Razer Edge Gaming Tablet/PC Shipping with Valve's Steam On Board

It’s perhaps an obvious partnership though nonetheless pleasing to see: Valve’s Steam software will ship on board Razer Edge gaming tablets. That means that right out of the box, eager gamers will be able to fire up the PC/tablet hybrid and log into their steam accounts to access their library of games.

"Razer has one mission in mind: to innovate for PC gamers worldwide," said Razer co-founder, CEO, and creative director Min-Liang Tan in a statement. "Providing users with access to Steam will enable Razer Edge users to play their favorite games with greater ease than ever before."

Steam Big Picture will reportedly run seamlessly on the Razer Edge, which adds a bit of value to the whole package.

The Razer Edge Pro tablet is a powerful machine, especially considering that it’s wrapped in a relatively small form factor, running Windows 8 Pro and featuring an Intel Core i5 or i7 processor, 8GB of DDR3-1600MHz RAM, NVIDIA GT 640M LE GPU, 128GB or 256GB of SSD storage, and a 10.1-inch multitouch display.

The Razer Edge tablet is available now, with configurations starting at $999.

This is a pretty well-equipped device concept... will be interesting to see how it plays out (pun intended) once we get one in. :)
