This is far from the first time we've seen iTunes currency marked down, though it's not too often we see vendors slash 20 percent from the cost -- it's usually 15 percent. Might be time to stock up on some Apple money. It's intriguing that they're only doing this now, this would have been a fantastic promotion during any of their last device releases. Maybe it's trying to give a boost to the new OS sales. |

I can't see any reason for Apple to do anything to promote their new OS, seeing as it had the most successful release in Apple history with over 5 million downloads in the first few days of the launch. Maybe its part of their strategy to increase the hype for the Iphone 5 release. |

Doing a promotion like this can get people to stay with apple when they update to new devices, If you have a hundred dollars in Itunes store you're not just going to go and get a device where you can't spend that hundred dollars. |
