I can't wait to see these kind of GPU's in the next generation gaming consoles, If the xbox 360 (which came out in 2005) and the ps3 (came out in 2006) can still pump out 1080p HD graphics then imagine what they'd do with these babies, or something similar to this designed specifically for consoles could do! |

Xbox360 and PS3 rarely put out 1080p graphics. Most games run at sub-HD and then get upscaled to 720p or 1080p. |

The healthy competition between sandy bridge and nvidia should make the pricing definitely better for the consumer. I can't wait for the benchmarks. |

Well either way, with these chips replacing the current hardware then it can surely run closer to a true HD 1080p |

Next-gen consoles will use something far beefier than a GF108 though I suppose the GF106 (or an equivalent GPU) isn't out of the question--but that's still 2-3 years away at minimum. |
