Nokia Expected To Launch Several New Phones And A Tablet At October Event

Nokia is hosting a launch event in Abu Dhabi on October 22nd, and the company is expected to announce a lineup of six new devices, including an accessory that’s “pretty special”, according The Verge’s sources.

Among the expected new devices is the purported Nokia Lumia 1520 (Bandit), a six-inch device that will boast a 1080p HD screen, quad-core Snapdragon processor, rear 20MP camera, Qi wireless charging, and a polycarbonate body.

We should also see Nokia’s “Sirius” Windows RT tablet, a 10-inch device rumored to rock a quad-core Qualcomm 8974 chip with a 1080p HD display, rear 6.7MP Carl Zeiss camera, 2MP front-facing camera, micro HDMI, microSD, microUSB, and LTE capabilities.

The “pretty special” accessory could be the little Bluetooth/NFC keyfob leaked by Evleaks called the Treasure Tag that attaches to an item and lets you track it with your phone (or vice versa).

It’s believed that Nokia was going to hold this event in New York right around this time, but the Microsoft acquisition threw a wrench in the works. But now, we’ll get to see everything unveiled in a few weeks.
