New WHQL Certified Drivers from NVIDIA Play Nice(er) with Windows 8

When it comes to graphics cards, proper drivers can make all the difference in the world. For those of you rocking a GeForce brand videocard installed in a system running Microsoft's Windows 8 Release Preview, brand new WHQL-certified drivers are now available to download.

NVIDIA's 302.82 release isn't for everyone. It only applies to gamers running the RP version of Windows 8 and no other operating system including Windows 7 or Vista, or even previous releases of Windows 8.

If you have all the prerequisites in order, NVIDIA's 302.82 drivers squash a few bugs you might be experiencing with previous driver releases, and adds 3D Vision support. Other than that, there isn't a whole lot going on with these drivers, though they are polished and ready for prime time (as opposed to beta drivers, which are not always stable).

While the drivers have strict OS requirements, most GeForce videocards are supported, from GeForce 6 Series graphics cards all the way up to the latest and greatest cards, like NVIDIA's flagship GeForce GTX 690.
