That's good stuff I don't care who you are. Good find Michael that made my night!! |

That is realy cool. I know my sister who works down at the humane society, has had a dog who was left out side in cold a few months ago named apollo. Sadly the owner only got 75 hours of community service for it. |

thats pretty awesome! if they can only make prosthetics cheap enough for everybody, that would be the day. good find though! |
|
Saw this on the news the other day and think it is great that they developed prosthetic devices for these animals. Though I am not sure why the news story referred to the dog as bionic my understanding is these are run of the mill prosthetic devices that do not have any robotics built into them. Still good story. |

Very heartwarming story, thanks for sharing. |

"Its a heart warming story indeed, but it Looks like one of the prosthetics in the back legs needs some calibration though. " -Optimus |

AWW, how nice of it :). Sad beginning for it though, losing all its leg because his "Family" left him in the snow to die :( |
|
aaaah so funny when it runs. This is really cool though |
|
Now dogs who were unable to walk can do so thanks to the use of prosthetic. Seriously though, great find... It's nice to see the dog get a second chance at life. |

That is a cool story although the Bionic reference seems more like just a nickname it is cool to see something like that. I remember my uncle used to have a dog years ago who lost one of his legs (not four just 1), and you would never have know it to seem him running around. So animals adapt very fast. To this dog I am sure he does not really think about them at all, they are there for it to use, they work, so he uses them without thought. |
|
Of course when I saw the story title I was thinking Bionic like spring loaded bounce feet or something with ears etc, or even a functional robot dog. |

Wow that is cool. Reminds me a little of these awesome robot "dogs": http://www.youtube.com/user/BostonDynamics |
