NVIDIA's 3D Vision Support To Land With Duke Nukem Forever

"Hail to the 3D King, Baby!" We don't imagine that's how Duke Nukem's creators originally intended that phase to go, but it may end up going just like that. NVIDIA has announced that Duke Nukem Forever will provide full support their 3D Vision technology. Not terribly surprising that the newest Duke will support 3D, but then again, anything related to this title and "reality" is somewhat impressive.

Duke Nukem Forever will add new graphics, new alien foes, new babes, and more debauchery. Gearbox is integrating full support for NVIDIA 3D Vision technology, giving gamers an up-close and personal look into Duke's world. And, with NVIDIA Surround technology, gamers can experience Duke's alien battles, beer drinking and world-saving in 3D across three full HD 1080p displays, or in 2D across three 2560x1600 displays. Jaw-dropping either way, we're sure.

To help you get your PC cranked up and ready for Duke, NVIDIA and EVGA have teamed up to bring you Duke's "Fully Loaded Package." This special edition Duke Nukem Forever bundle includes a full PC copy of Duke Nukem Forever, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 graphics card by EVGA, a limited edition Duke Nukem Forever strategy guide art book and mouse pad, and a custom Duke Nukem "Radioactive" belt buckle. But no 3D glasses? Why the oversight?

Wahoo. Now where is that winning Powerball ticket so I can buy the technology that allows Duke in 3D... I think I need a 5x1 configuration though from AMD...

Some games would probably be a better experience in 3D and this may very well be one of them.

.Been trying for several years to get some forum pals in New Zealand and Australia to hook me up with the updated lotto numbers so I can pick and play in advance , split the win but to no avail ....oh well

going to like Duke anyhow !

Hmmm... The GTX 560. I'm guessing those guys at 2K Games really want to get Duke Nukem into every home by 2014.

Anyway, the full support for 3D Vision is a plus and I'm sure it'll be awesome but I'm not sure if this is enough to make me run to my nearest GameSpot and plop down the valuable dollars.

the almost never ending wait deserve such awesomeness!

Well it's been getting horrible reviews at all the major gaming review sites, but I have to ask. What were they expecting? Some groundbreaking, graphically advanced FPS? The game was in development for the better part of our lives. I think a lot of the people reviewing this either weren't around for the original or their expectations are way too high. Duke delivers exactly what it promises, cheesy 1-liners, hookers and gratuitous violence. I'm pleased, especially considering it was never going to be released.

I expected it to not get the best reviews as soon as I heard it was coming out. The deal is, everyone's been waiting for it so long, that when they hear it's finally coming out, they're so emotionally attached to it, that they think its going to be the game to end all games. Then they're sorely disappointed, because it's simply a modernized redo of a previous game and not everything you ever wanted in a game. It's simply not going to be able to stand up to all the high expectation and hype that has been built up over it. People need to see it for what it is and is supposed to be, and not expect so much of it. If you were originally a fan of the old ones, you might like the new ones. If you don't weren't, you might as well shut up, because the genre just might not be your thing, it might not have anything to do with the game itself.

"I'm not buying this disappointing let down of a game at retail price, I'll just buy it of a Sucka in Ebay for $15 $19.99. Anyhow, not now, I prepping for Infamous 2, Splinter Cell and Street Fighter Arcade, maybe up for some headaches and migraine with Portal 2."

The game rocked. It had everything the Duke of old had, and more of it - the multiplayer is a little lacking, but anyone who says Capture the Babe isn't more satisfying than capturing a flag is in need of a cold beer and a slap in the mouth. I'm incredibly satisfied with it, couldn't stop laughing (the wife even got a kick out of T*tty City). I'm looking forward to more.

Maybe a new hd revamping of some classic Duke...?
