i think this would be agood idea but with intel stance in the market they might only be able to compete with amd atleast in the begining |
I agree, this could be bad news for AMD if they don't come up with something promising soon! |
they keep on saying theyll have something competive soon but havent seen anything |
I totally welcome this. The more competition, the better (to an extent of course). It might hurt AMD, but so be it as long as overall Intel loses some market share. I just don't like the level of dominance Intel has right now. I appreciate that their processors are good performing and for the most part good priced, but who knows how long this will last with almost no competition. |
Also Intel says the Larrabee will be competitive, but we've seen absolutely nothing! |
That would be interesting :) |

This sounds pretty interesting, and I think Nvidia is possible of doing something like this. I hope if they decide to go into the CPU production, then they will have some good CPUs |
Maybe then AMD/nVidia will put their gfx rivalry aside and sort of help each other out here n there -- to gain market shares over Intel; like some temporary partnership to last a few years If VIA was bought....wouldn't that mean moreso that nVidia would generally be in the mobile CPU production area and/or build around Linux? |

Cool. I'm all for more CPU manufacturers. |
