Microsoft has released a series of new keyboard and mice solutions clearly aimed at Media Center and Vista. Starting off, the Wireless Entertainment Desktop 8000 is a rechargeable 2.4Ghz Bluetooth mouse/keyboard combination. The keyboard features an ultra thin ergonomic design with backlit keys that are auto sensing. As the user approaches the keyboard or under low light situations, the keys light up automatically. The mouse features a brushed aluminum finish, high definition laser, and 4-way scrolling in a handsome ergonomic look. Microsoft also released the Wireless Entertainment Desktop 7000 which mirrors the 8000 in many respects but lacks some of the more advanced features. The mouse is also sold standalone as the Wireless Laser Mouse 8000.

Finally, the Wireless Notebook Presenter Mouse 8000 has been added which doubles as a media/presentation device. The Presenter mouse is a first of its kind to include an integrated slide presenter, laser pointer, and media remote control in an all-in-one package.
