Now if MS would focus on Aero itself to make it more useful instead of a novelty.

What's wrong with novelties? There certainly could be more uses for powerful graphical devices in our Windows experience, though.

I have to say, I am a Linux n00b, but after seeing Beryl, then Compiz-Fusion, Aero is a useless joke in my opinion.

I'd turn off Aero but my better half thinks it's pretty.   IMO it's a useless resource hog better left alone.

I'm with Jeff
Compiz looks awesome

Tell me that it's not the slickest yet useful accelerated desktop you've seen Bad. I've been running Linux Mint exclusively for about three weeks now and everyday I find more and more that I can do with it. Just the cube desktop alone is awesome. What dist are you running?

Actually... I still use Windows XP.. for since I've some college assignments regarding Linux.. as I mentioned before building my LFS and BLFS.. some of my buddies are running Fedora, and they use Compiz.. and yeah it's amazing.. the Cube, and all the effects.. Vista and Leopard got nothing on it!

So these keyboards "compliment" Aero with a physical design? Is this just MS's way to say "hey we have new KBs....oh don't forget about vista *MS thinks of a quick tie-in* -- Oh yeah! Our KBs compliment Aero!! BUY!!"

To my understanding there is no immediate tie-in with it...just a shameless Vista plug

I agree man..I just ordered a logitech g11 keyboard =P...I wouldn't trade it for anything else ^_^...except maybe that OLED keyboard =P...lol..But I'd lost the macro keys >_<.

I've been using my Saitek Eclipse v1 forever now and I can't say I would want to trade it in for anything...just a great overall feel and look to the KB. Only con is the lack of Macos....I wouldn't mind 'em. However a lot of times it just makes them too "busy"....there is a fine line there.

Oh, and my main buying point ---> I definaely need a keyboard modeled to fit my OS....*rolls eyes*Huh?

I suppose these are better than the current offerings from Microsoft, but the Logitech diNovo Edge makes these look like ugly ducklings. Admittedly the 3000 is not even in the same price bracket to compete with the diNovo, but for just $70 more than the 7000 the diNovo is golden.
