Macally Announces New Mac Accessories

Accessory vendor Macally introduced a handful of new accessories for Mac computers including several wireless input devices as well as two eco-conscious laptop stands. The new input devices include both Bluetooth and radio-frequency (RF) devices.

The BTKey Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard for Mac is a full-size keyboard that uses low-profile scissor keys. It sells for $70. The $50 BTMouse2 Bluetooth Wireless Laser Mouse features three programmable buttons, a scroll wheel, and an 800-dpi laser sensor. Both of these accessories require two AAA batteries (included) for power.

New RF devices include the Optimo Portable 2.4GHz Wireless Optical Mouse and the MGlide Portable 2.4GHz Wireless Optical Mouse. The Optimo mouse offers three programmable buttons, a scroll wheel, a precision optical sensor, a small USB RF receiver, and a switch for toggling between 800 and 1600dpi resolution. The MGlide is a low-profile model that features a clickable scroll wheel, a precision optical sensor, and a compartment for storing the RF USB receiver. Both of these mice sell for $30.

In addition to new input devices, Macally also introduced two $40 notebook stands that are made of bamboo and packaged in environmentally-friendly materials. Both the EcoFan and EcoFanPro feature an ultra-quiet fan that is powered by your laptop's USB port. The Pro model adds the ability to adjust the stand.

According to Macally, all of these new products are currently available.

Is there a rule that says mac mice must be crappy? These look like they would not be that fun to use. I like a mouse that fits to my hand.
