Tech Report has the scoop on MSI's demo of two MXM modules mounted on a discrete graphics card PCB which is essentially a single-board SLI configuration. With SLI making its way to notebooks sometime in the near future, this "proof of concept" is a lot closer to reality than we are being led to believe. Regardless, seeing two low-power mobile GPU's in removable sockets certainly gets one wishing for upgradable cores for discrete desktop graphics cards.
