ATI Radeon Xpress Platform Technology Included in HP Commercial Desktop PCs

MARKHAM, ON – April 27, 2005 – ATI Technologies Inc. (TSX: ATY, NASDAQ:ATYT), today announced that Radeon Xpress™ 200 will be the chipset platform technology for the HP dx5150, HP's latest AMD Athlon™ 64
processor-based commercial desktop PC. ATI's technology adds Radeon-class
visual processing and broad connectivity for today's most commonly used devices and peripherals. The Radeon Xpress 200 also delivers built-in support for PCI Express, DirectX 9 graphics and AMD's (NYSE: AMD) 64-bit processors, helping to enable support of the latest operating systems and applications and, in turn, give customers investment protection.

With built-in dual monitor support, the Radeon Xpress 200 platform allows users to easily connect a second display and extend their desktop for improved multi-tasking and application management. In addition, IT managers benefit from ATI's unified driver architecture, which enables a stable and consistent software image across multiple platforms.

"HP commercial desktop PCs are widely recognized as providing industry leading performance and reliability at an attractive price point," said Reuven Soraya, Director of Marketing, Chipset Business Unit. "Radeon Xpress 200 platform technology helps provide commercial users with a best-in-class solution that easily meets the demands of business users today, and in the future."

"Our customers desire desktop PCs that are highly versatile, with the features and performance to maximize end-user productivity," said Brian Schmitz, director of marketing, Business Desktops, HP. "With Radeon Xpress platform technology, the dx5150 offers an ideal balance of these elements combined with support for the approaching 64-bit computing future to help provide businesses with advanced performance and ensure investment protection."

 MSI P4N Diamond @ t-break

"Dynamic overclocking is also supported for the casual overclocker and not only does MSI allow your CPU to be overclocked, but the core for your ATI or nVidia based graphics card can also be dynamically overclocked. People with nVidia cards can also have the video card's memory dynamically overclocked. We think that this is a pretty option for people who like to run their setups at stock speed but need a bit of a kick when playing demanding games."

Satellite Radio: The Waves Of The Future? @ The Tech Zone

"Satellite radio is a new service being offered by two companies, XM Satellite Radio and Sirius Satellite Radio. Both companies are offering over 100 channels of streaming music and entertainment. Is this the wave of the future?"

 Bigbruin.com Review: Rexus SPX500 500W ATX PSU

"If you're looking for a basic stable power supply, the Rexus SPX500 is a good choice. It doesn't include all the "show" features (windows, LED, UV reaction) of many newer power supplies, but it does help keep your case cooler by removing more hot air. With the large 15cm fan, it also keeps the noise down, as I heard a significant decrease in fan noise when I changed from the Logisys Pitbull (on medium settings) to the Rexus 500W unit."

Legion Hardware - Thermaltake PurePower 460w

"Thermaltake's PurePower 460w power supply on the other hand is a high-quality product that is designed to meet the power requirements of today's computers. While the performance of this product was excellent, it is the stylish design that will sell the PurePower 460w. When dormant the power supply looks impressive with its honeycomb grill and black sleeved cables."
