MSI Launches MS-9A08 Embedded PC System

Not sure if you've noticed, but MSI is a diverse company. Somehow or another, it manages to produce potent gaming notebooks, slim ultraportables and machines like the one pictured below -- a small form factor PC designed for tight applications such as digital signage, kiosks, gaming and thin clients. The MS-9A08 is hailed as an embedded system and can be equipped with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core 2 Quad or Core 2 Quad processor.

Built around the Intel GM45 chipset, the little black box includes GMAX4500 HD graphics and supports DirectX 10 as well as Blu-ray video playback. As for ports, you'll find DVI, VGA and HDMI outputs, dual Gigabit Ethernet ports, four USB 2.0 ports, audio in/out as well as a Wi-Fi module and optional TV tuner. MSI has yet to reveal a price, but we are told that it measures just 18 x 18 x 4.4cm.

whoops!!

Anyway, looks like a nice solution. I wouldn't mind putting one in a wall with a touchscreen monitor in my house in like the kitchen or something for quick e-mail access, or to stream some video or access a movie off the NAS I wish I had lol Oh yea, I need a house too heh... Well it's nice to dream anyway...
