Wow, I thought it would take a little while longer before paid apps hit the smart TV market. For the exclusive apps, I'm sure LG is paying the developer a decent amount for those because I would agree it is a small market. Pretty soon you may be able to buy a set top box that has this same feature. Any chance to make a buck for these companies... |

The tv looks great but i dont know about gaming in it without thrid partyhardware. I bet the experience will be dreadful. Like the idea but you have to spruce up the tvs processing capabilities to obtain suitble game play without consoles..... |

I have a friend who has an LG Smart TV and it comes with some apps and games built in. They work okay with the supplied wand remote but I don't see how some of the more processor intensive games would work on it. The apps work pretty well but I have nothing else to compare them to. |

This is a terrible idea. Who is this aiming for? People who're prepared to spend thousands of dollars on a television aren't going to play low-quality/low-performance games built for a television platform. I'm pretty sure after shelling out substantial sums on a TV of this caliber, they may be able to afford a console or gaming machine for use on it. So confused why anyone at LG thought this was a good idea. App store yes, gaming platform? LOL. |
