We knew that the LG
G Flex smartphone was coming to the U.S. sometime this quarter, but now we have a much clearer idea. You can preorder your own G Flex
handset from AT&T
, or T-Mobile
, and the device will be shipping in just a few days.
AT&T’s website says
that it will begin shipping the LG G Flex on February 4th. Sprint says
that pre-orderers will get their phones in 2-5 business days starting today, which pegs delivery as early as February 3rd. (Presumably, that doesn’t mean you could get it by tomorrow.) It will be available in Sprint stores on the 7th. It’s not clear when T-Mobile
will ship the G Flex.
The LG G Flex costs $299 on both AT&T and Sprint with a two-year contract.
the G Flex quite a bit
, noting the device’s 6-inch 1280x720 curved and flexible display, quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 (2.26GHz) processor, 13MP rear-facing camera, and 2GB of RAM.
This phone is significant; it marks either an important change in smartphone construction technology or a historically laughable failure.
