I just had an unexpected package arrive at the door. In it was one of Kingston's brand new HyperX memory cooling fans.
The entire assembly is very light-weight and according to Kingston the fans generate little noise--somewhere in the neighborhood of 28db (maximum). Anyway, we thought you'd like to check out some pics of the unit to close out the week. We've also got a video of the HyperX fan in-action below if you'd like to check that out.
Like most other memory coolers, the HyperX Fan mounts to the retention clips on either side of the RAM slots on a motherboard. It has two blue-lighted, 60mm fans that blow air down on the DIMMs that reside in the slots below.

Loox about the same as any other dual 60 ram cooler out there... am I missing something? |
I believe it's the retention system. Otherwise it seems the same as an other, oh wait blue fans. |

Looks slick when I chage my ram to some higher performance ram i MIGHT HAVE TO GET ONE BUT CINSIDERING MY COOLER THAT i JUST PUT ON IT MIGHT NOT HAVE ROOM! |

I don't get why they go through all these contortions to make the thing look all swank and high tech with the blue metal and snazzy graphics and lights and special plastic... I just want a rock solid, reliable product that WORKS PROPERLY and does it's job extremely well. Forget all the B.S. - put the money into function. |
