I don't think people from India will call tech support and get transferred to a call center in the US anytime soon, nevertheless it is still nice to see we are getting a few jobs from them. With the dollar being so weak, it has become more realistic and more attractive for foreign companies to bring jobs to the US. Recently BMW proclaimed they would be bringing a sizable amount of jobs to their Spartanburg, SC plant after laying off 8,100 employees in Germany. |

Thats part of the beauty of a weak dollar (I took an econ class once before I knew what to major in) -- weaker dollar = more foreign investments as then we make money and the other countries save money by investing in the U.S. Also this makes for more exports from the U.S. as well.... |
