Hulu may have made some of its fans sweat by waiting until nearly the last minute to confirm its Hulu Plus service
will indeed be offered on Sony's
upcoming PlayStation 4 console on day of release (which, if you weren't aware, is this Friday, November 15th). The Hulu Plus app will actually launch to PS4 a couple of days early on November 13th to accommodate those users who might be getting their hands on the next generation console ahead of the official launch.
This may go down as one of the biggest console launches
in history, and with that in mind, Hulu didn't just port its Hulu Plus app over to PS4. There are some features and tweaks designed specifically for Sony's next generation game console. One of them in a convenience thing, allowing users to sign up for Hulu Plus directly from within the app.
Other new and updated features include larger and more vivid artwork with easier navigation; a tray-style format that allows you to scroll through recommendations, popular shows and movies, top 100 clips, movie trailers, and a 'Shows You Watch' feature that fires up the latest episodes of the shows you regularly watch; an updated search function with results that appear directly beneath the search; and dedicated pages for Hulu Kids, Originals, British, Latino, and Video Games.
To kick off the PS4's launch, Hulu Plus is giving PS3 and PS4 console owners free access to the first episode of "The Wrong Mans," a Hulu Original that just recently premiered, from November 11-26 without a Hulu Plus subscription.
