HTC Amaze 4G Smartphone Bringing 1.5GHz Qualcomm CPU, qHD Display

Enough Samsung news? No sweat. HTC has a real bombshell to throw, too, as they have just announced their new Amaze 4G for T-Mobile. It's certainly the most impressive (spec-wise) phone that T-Mob has ever had grace their network, and it'll probably remain the high-end champ for some time to come. It's a bold, beautiful phone with a 4.3" qHD display, 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 processor, support for the company's new HSPA+ 42Mbps and even an NFC chip, perfect for those future mobile payments.

There's also an 8MP camera, a 1080p camcorder mode, support for HTC Watch / T-Mobile TV and a copy of Android 2.3.4. You'll also find HTC's latest edition of "Sense," not to mention SmartShot (which captures five photos and creates the best shot using clear faces with smiles and no blinking); PerfectPics (which is a separate album in the gallery created by scoring and filtering the best photos to the surface); and ClearShot / BurstShot. Talk about a camera that doubles as a phone.

The handset will go on sale for $259.99 (on a 2-year contract) starting on October 12th.

Hmmm; well I have a sensation and if I go over to XDA they have a ROM that also incorporates the Beats audio from the newest version of the official HTC Sensation (Beats Edition). My cam is already an 8Meg camera on the rear, that ROM oc's my ARM processor to 1.5GHz and my memory the display also seems to be the same. SO basically this is just a reworked Sensation because my Sensation is capable of all of this. The only issue is if I implement that ROM my phone does not work for calls correctly because it is built from the official European beats audio ROM, and because of that does not recognize the US network correctly. I am hoping they will have it (the ROM also uses the most current European Sense build as will this one) fixed soon though for US use. Oh and it is free so you could go get an original Sensation for what $150, and that camera software and have the same phone although it would look a little different.

Forget about Samsung, this HTC Amaze 4G smartphone will do.Smile Except for it having a slightly smaller screen size of only 4.3" inch than the Samung Galaxy S II smartphone has, which has 4.65" inch display. Anyway, I have not heard of anything that bad about the HTC product line yet, but with the Samsung line of mobile phones I have heard plenty.Wink
