The new HP TouchSmart tx2 Notebook PC incorporates multi-touch technology, which lets you manipulate applications, videos, music, and photos using a stylus or multiple fingers. Because the laptop recognizes input from more than one finger at a time, users can flick, pinch, or rotate objects using finger controls. |
I'm not surprise that HP took the leadership and have the touchscreen laptop for users already out. it should be pretty easy since people are already used to the small version "phones" |

I still kinda just see the multi touch on laptops or full desktops kinda gimicky. I don't see me using it on a regular basis if I have a mouse to use. |

Bob, Remember it's a Tablet, so probably it will switch to multi-touch when the screen is turned and used in that position.. Not like in Regular Laptop Format.. i guess it would be kinda dumb as well hehehe :P I would see a good use to that technology on tablet/like people :) |
True. For graphic artists and the like.

Touch screen computers sound cool in theory but I don't like them because they usually sacrifice performance to make their machines as small as possible. If you have a mouse than you probably don't need one. |
