Ehhh, just sounds like Rock Band. I never got into this Guitar Hero thing. I've twice tried playing their guitar - both with disastrous results. I'll stick to FPS please. =P |
Rock Band was created by Harmonix, and Harmonix created Guitar Hero 1 and 2, then Activision aquired Guitar Hero, Rock Band was the real Guitar Hero 3, Activsion with it its shitty games again, they ruin everything. Good thing Harmonix is back. This game's learning curve is a little longer. Stick to songs you like and your good to go.(til hard) |

Fraking Activision. That doesn't suprise me. Call of Duty 5 is NOT going to made by Infinity Ward, instead the people who made the apparently average console only Call of Duty 3 will be making it. Infinity wants to stick to an every other year schedule, but the cash pigs at Activision want yearly games now. Infinity Ward took their time and came out with three great games: CoD 2003, CoD 2 2005, CoD 4 2007, and then they might possibly do CoD 6 2009. Activision is turning one of the best series out there into an oversaturated sequel fest. Bastards. |

^^^Agreed+5! COD3 blew hard. Not a big fan of the rhythm games out there but I know they are cash cows! I remember when RB first came out, it flew off the shelves just like the damn Wii! At $160 for the game instead of the $60 like all other games you know they made it rain a few times! |

Interesting that the online mode of Rock Band is called "World Tour" just like the next installment of Guitar Hero is labeled. |

From Engadget Price & release
Now that we've been enticed with what Guitar Hero World Tour will look like,
GameStop has revealed the upcoming rock simulator's price and release
date. $189.99 will get you the Guitar Hero World Tour "Band Kit" with
drum kit, guitar, and microphone. Meanwhile, the "Guitar Kit" at $99.99
will come with just the guitar controller. For those of you who want to
use your current controller (assuming current controllers will work),
the game-only version will run $59.99 (or $49.99 for the PS2 and Wii).
The game's ship date, as of now, is set at 10/27/08. |
