It's about time, finally some real competition for the ipad. And Google is putting a lot of effort into the android market which is the next step. As far as the future of apple and the ipad...they will add a camera and add/remove a button somewhere and all of the sheep will flock to the store as they usually do. |
Honeycomb is going to BRING IT. And we're ready here for it that's for sure. Now we have solid competition for Apple and competition is always a great thing. |

Finally! I've always been sceptic of Android powered tablets... simply because after using 1.6 - 2.2 on phones...it didnt seem tablet worth. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P85dp3qqF1c Looks pretty cool though. I'm hoping the prices arent going to be extravegent. That being said, i'd still light years away from even considering purchasing a tablet. Like before, and its probably my wallet speaking for me here, i still cant justify spending ~700 on a device, like the xoom... simple because i dont see where i can personally integrate a tablet in my life.... Just a poor students two cents. |
i just remembered, we've not even considered the blackberry tablet into consideration. its like no one cares.... a business tablet haha. |
The Tablet is features and style is one to desire indeed |
Im not looking forward for any tablets, and as your mentioned blackberry tablets im just waiting for that android blackberry :) |
The web store site looks pretty cool to I went and checked it out earlier. |
I do agree with coolice on the blackberry issue, that pad they were showing off at CES seemed to be very worthy to me, but you hear way more about the zoom etc, although to me they seemed to be the only directly competing slates units at least in capabilities I saw. |
Not to mention that is out of the hundred or so that were shown at CES. |

So this begs the question for ROMs. Will there be 3.0 ROMs coming out in the near future for phones, the same as 2.3 ones are creeping towards release? Is there anything that 3.0 provides that would be useful on a phone? |

The interface feels claustraphobic to me. Like the tiles are surrounding me... I don't particularly like that... If I can flatten them out, that would be preferable. |
