Google should send a team with the next batch of excavators and archaeologists so that I can enjoy street view of these pyramids in my house. |
And somehow the grave-robbers probably STILL found them years before anybody else. |
Just when I thought I had seen cool stuff on Google Earth. Really neat to see this stuff. |
if it hasn't been visited by grave-robbers then that would be real cool to see whats inside :) |
I don't know why Google hasn't just taken over the world yet. Let's be real, they could have long ago. |
I agree, but they cant...Apple already has a patent on that. |
Google, contrary to popular belief, has taken over a small portion of the world, namely Australia and oddly enough the Czech Republic. Add that to the impressive monopoly that Google already holds on the search industry, and it isn't unfathomable to think that Google could control the flow of all information on the internet. Google is plotting to take ever the world. |
Do those places even count as parts of the world though? I mean one's a penal colony and the other - well, we don't talk about the other one. Though normally I'd say that sounds conspiracy theorist-y, it's Google, so it's almost guaranteed that they are controlling the flow of information. GO GOOGLE!!! |
Your missing some of the enthusiasm in that GO GOOGLE, come one man no celebration of there achievements while waving the Google-kampf handbook and saluting as eric schmidt ushers in the new order of infromation sharing and search engine supremacy, wiping out the likes of BIng. |
Oh, this just got me. It got me so good. I am sitting at my computer nerdgasming at this. I LOVE Egyptology and ancient history in general. What an amazing find! I hope the stories that the pyramids tell are as fascinating as the architecture and items themselves. |

rofl m1keb1ggs you have to wonder why is Apple just allowed to run around suing anyone who makes a smart phone as the have now for quite a while. You can bet on it if you make a smart phone with any degree of success Apple is going to sue you and that just hurts all of us and technology so bad in the long run it slows everything down. |
If it has round edges and from 100 yards away even remotely resembles an Apple product... they'll sue you. |
They sued my Beach Ball once,..... |
Super Cool find, and I totally agree with InsideSin I want a streetview of this find. That would be epic. |
Sweet. Awsome find hope it unravells the mysrery of ancient history |
Dam, I want to be a satellite archeologist.. |
They were never really lost, just forgotten. :-) |
Wow ! Google Earth seems fantastic at finding things that have been lost and forgotten for millennia - if I turn it loose in my closets, do you think it could find that old tube of thermal paste ?... Henri |
Just the ~ghost~ of the tube of thermal paste,.......You'll have to resurrect it with heat, properly applied. (no, not the microwave either) |
Ah - heat and thermal paste : a marriage made in Heaven ! Henri |
This is awesome. I know an archaeology student who's in Egypt for the summer, I wonder if they all just flock to these sites and start digging... |
As soon as the government knows that it exists, they'll send troops to guard the site. They're not very understanding about people taking anything out of these sites. |
