I'm sure that Nightline was not granted unfettered access to wherever they wanted to go that day. It was probably a scripted visit from start to finish. Foxconn isn't about to let a television news story derail their profits. (no way, no how) I'm sure that ~they're~ making plenty of money like Apple is, and they will defend that. We have no real control over what they do in another country. Especially one not known for their human rights liberties. The only possible voice we may have is through our buying decisions, but people will not stop buying Apple gear anyways. |

Foxconn isn't just in Apple products. You can find their name all over inside of pc laptops, and can be found on motherboards for desktop pc. Shutting down Apple for for having their products made by Foxconn would not solve the problem, but would put the spot light on someone else. |
Foxconn hasn't exactly been producing components for those markets recently; It's last motherboards were for the 45nm generation of the Intel's Core CPU's. Anyways, Foxconn is still working it's workers and the public is all the none wiser for seeing the staged workings behind Foxconn; as long as people still buy Apple or LG or even some other products, there will still be a need for Foxconn... And that's a same because those Chinese workers deserve much better. Reilneil does bring up some good points though; no matter how much we don't buy Apple products, the unyielding masses will fill the void by buying more Apple products so there's nothing we can do to change the behavior of the worlds massive technology company out there, and that's a shame. |

I'm much more interested in knowing what goes on behind the scenes in oil companies. Or the related disgraceful suicide rate in the U.S. military. |
